A new application for ordering pharmacy stock items from within secondary care wards was requested from the Pharmacy Implementation Group (PIG) as the current solution in use throughout NHS Wales, is not compatible with the new WellSky Medicines Management System. The new WOREQ2 application will allow hospital ward users to request an order of pharmacy items for their ward stock as and when required. The order request process will generate an XML order file which is placed on an agreed file location, and then picked up by the pharmacy staff using the BWPROF program within WellSky.
